Location and functional
organization of the facility
The pre-school institution in Inđija is a newly designed building with a long and open layout, Ground floor+0 floors, gross area of 1141.41 m², intended for accommodation of 200 children aged 6 months to 7 years. It is positioned in the southern part of block 21, with the longer side parallel to Gospodarska Street, from which the main entrance to the building, as well as a parking lot for users, is provided.
The specific typology and complex contents of large capacities, although located on one floor, form an easily legible and comprehensible space, with clear communications and logical zoning. The building is almost completely symmetrical, with a centrally positioned multi-purpose hall, which serves as a zenith ally lit entrance hall and can easily be repurposed into a dining room, a movie hall or a hall for the organization of other events.

Zones and spatial functionality
On one side of the multi-purpose hall, along the southeastern facade, an administrative block was formed, which includes the main entrance with storage for strollers and a room for health care. On the other side, along the southwestern facade, there is a block for teachers and professional associates with an official entrance.
Corridors with children's rooms on both sides extend directly to the multipurpose hall, running longitudinally through the center of the building. Each room has access to a fenced and partially covered garden. In the northwestern part of the building, at the end of the corridor, there is a kitchen block with access from Vojvođanskih brigada Street.
The building, although functionally symmetrical, appears dynamic and playful in its form thanks to the complex sloping roof, the surfaces of which gently bend, descend along the facade or transition into irregularly shaped canopies above the garden.

Materials and
connection with nature
The roof covering is provided as ribbed sheet metal plasticized in different colors, at the designer's choice. The rest of the facade is plastered in white, while the glazed parts are highly reflective and capture the reflections of the sky and the surroundings. The structure of the building is massive, with semi-prefabricated reinforced concrete walls, while the internal load-bearing walls are also prefabricated.
A complex pitched roof with a reinforced concrete structure and a ribbed sheet covering is planned. The institution was designed on a single level, on a flat terrain with minimal variation, to ease movement for users within the facility and enable the creation of fenced yards or gardens in front of each children's room.
These solutions establish a strong connection with nature, creating a valuable quality of stay for both children and employees. The project is an example of a successful combination of functionality, aesthetics and sustainability in a modern educational space.
