The project to transform the Petrovaradin-Beočin railway line into a green path aims to create a modern, environmentally friendly and multifunctional infrastructure for cyclists and pedestrians. The trail will improve mobility, connect local communities and contribute to environmental protection through plant corridors and sustainable transport. Planned rest areas and tourist potential will make it an attractive destination for citizens and visitors throughout the year.

Project and goal
of transformation

The project of transforming the Petrovaradin-Beočin railway line into a green path aims to create a modern, environmentally friendly and multifunctional traffic infrastructure that will enable safe and comfortable transportation for cyclists and pedestrians. This path, which will stretch along 16 kilometers between Petrovaradin and Beocin, represents an important step in improving mobility and protecting the environment in this region.

Track characteristics

The bicycle path will be 2.5 meters wide, and a 1.60 meter wide pedestrian path will be placed next to it, in order to ensure a safe and pleasant space for all users.

Rest areas along the route

A total of 19 rest stops are planned along the route of about 16 km, which will be distributed in strategic places. These rest areas will be intended for a short stay, rest and relaxation of users, and will be equipped with adequate furniture and information about the surroundings.

Ecological importance

The transformation of this railway line into a green track is not only functional, but also has a significant environmental component. The path will be equipped with plant corridors, which will contribute to the preservation of biodiversity, and therefore to the improvement of air quality.

Increasing mobility
and connectivity

The green path will contribute to improving the quality of life of citizens. It will increase mobility and connectivity between Petrovaradin and Beocin, making these places more accessible and safer for everyday activities.

Tourist attractions

The trail will be an attractive destination for tourists, who will be able to enjoy the natural environment and historical sites along the trail.
